Unlike boarding schools of the past that attempted to remove the culture and language from our Indigenous people, today’s Native boarding schools serve kids from tribes across the country who wish to learn about their culture and language in a safe environment with their Native peers.
Riverside Indian School
Located in Anadarko, Oklahoma, Riverside is one of the only remaining Native boarding schools in the United States. At any one time, over 75 tribes can be represented in the environment.
